Typing Indian Languages on Mac OS X

Method 1

Apple provides a set of input methods out of box, you can enable them using:

System Preferences>Keyboard>Input Sources>Click on + button>Select Input Language.

This method is quite time consuming effort to edit with several challenges in getting the key combinations to work.

Use LipikaIME a user-configurable, phonetic, Input Method Engine for Mac OS X which you can get it from here:
